Church Callings

So, a friend of mine had a post on her blog about how she cried for days about the new calling she was given in church. She wanted people to guess what calling could make her cry. It was funny to see all the different comments in response to her blog. Everyone seems to have a different calling that they would cry about. Some I read and thought, "are you kidding? that would be such an easy calling!" Or, "no way, I would love that calling!"

I think I would enjoy being a Relief Society Teacher. But, I think my heart is in Young Women's. However, I am currently the second counselor in the Primary Presidency...I would have told you before that Primary is the last place I would want to be... but after 7 or 8 months, its not so bad. Though I will admit, I still wouldn't be excited if I was called to be a Primary TEACHER. I think its funny how that calling that I dread is actually another's favorite.

So now I am curious...what has been or possibly would be your favorite calling? I posted a poll on the side of my blog. Please share!

I just had to vote for 3....VT supervisor, YW advisor, and enrichment leader. You are always under the direction and guidence of someone else! AND the only one that is an every Sunday thing, it is an easy-great one.

Wow Hon, a little biased. My favorite calling was left off: Elder's Q Instructor.
It seems like all Priesthood callings were left off. Maybe I am not supposed to be reading your blog.

Wow Hon, your poll is a little biased. My favorite calling isn't even on there: Elder's Q Instructor.
In fact, there is a dirth of priesthood callings. Maybe I am not supposed to be reading your blog.

Sorry, to the one or two men who actually read blogs! I did think about adding the "Priesthood callings" but decided that there weren't very many guys who read my blog. You can comment here, like Dan did :0)

Good question! However, I would have picked "none of the above" because you didn't include "door greeter." That would be my favorite. :) So, I picked pianist instead. I think after Primary President I'll be done teaching and leading for a while. :)

Mine would have to have been being your YW President. How long ago was that? A dozen years or so? What a dream group of girls.

I just found your blog off of Amy's! I would also love to be a RS teacher. I think the worst calling would be gospel doctrine teacher!
