So Dan finally bought a new "big" TV. He's been wanting and searching for one for over a year. They cost more money than we wanted to spend. But, thanks to good old Craigslist he found one for $375. A new TV that is about double the size of our old one also required a new entertainment center. It looked a little red-neck-ish to have it on top of the other one. So we began looking around. We were disappointed this time with Craigslist...anything worth buying cost more than the TV (though I guess that's not saying much). Anything for cheap was really ugly. I tried to find a way to get the armoire that my dad made up here from my parents but that wasn't working either. I happened to walk through Sam's club and saw this one. It was beautiful! Exactly what I would choose if money weren't a factor. And the price tag said $400. When I came home I tried to find it online to show Dan but they didn't have it. Then only thing similar was more like $800. Eventually Dan stopped by to look at it...sure enough it was ony $400 but he was pretty sure it was too small. Anyway...to shorten this story a little...he measured it was the right size...it was the last one they had which meant it was also 10% off (an apparently it had already been reduced in price about 40%). So in the end we got it for $350. It took 7 guys to get it down from the display and into a friends truck. Then it took 4 guys to get it from the truck to the living room. I guess there are pros AND cons to buying the floor model. And, our TV fit perfectly, literally...it was as if the entertainment center were built for our TV.

We so need an entertainment center, but I keep waiting until our current TV goes out. You found some great deals!!! When we moved in here where going to go and get a new TV and E-center, picked it all and when the total was over $4,000 we decided to wait, hope the TV goes when we find some good deal-like you.
It's beautiful! Way to go on finding such great deals!
